Crunchy Earth

What a weekend! Have barely gotten to ride during the last couple weeks with school and life being so rediculous, this weekend we definately broke the pattern and with a Blue Flag, a Rose, 2 Knutsfords and both Jamisons. The new blue jersey must have had something to do with it. When you are busting your ass and held away from riding you appreciate it so much more when you finally get to make it out, so this weekend was all cake. Got my moto helmet and Leatt brace on order now too so stoked to see them in the future and gain another margin of security. On the trail the old bike felt great and the ground was all crunchy and awesome for cutties so I was feelin the flow there but the shoulder was giving me burning / stabbing sensations and felt pretty weak so that wasn't to good. Ah well, get it back yet.
Saturday was killer meeting up with a couple racer bros Ty and Chase as well as Jeff Sykes, my roommate Shane and his buddy Alex. Blue flag is pure steep drifting joy and gets tech as you increase the speed. Rose is melancholie but feels like home and gives me flashbacks of growing up riding it every day. Knutsford is tight like Aggy's jeans and smooth like his baby face but gets a little interesting pushing the envelope. You can go so unbelievably fast on it, stuff comes at you so fast drifting the whole way down... afternoon delight indeed. It was super fun getting out with some racer heads knocking bars and battling for the lead the whole way down.
Today Jamison was super crunchy and epic. Shane and Alex are pure Nelson vibes and always a good time. Was working on unweighted cutties on tight corners and manual barturns through tight trees which made for some interesting moments indeed. Interesting like shuttling harper two weekends ago with 8 guys and 8 bikes in my van... using the broken out back window to tailgate half the bikes. What a life.
All I gotta say is damn it feels good to be sitting here beat tired and satisfied. The feeling will have to last me a while as I approach finals though. On that note better get back to work here... have a business competition tomorrow that I gotta win! Hope your weekend was as good as mine, if not, get out there on the trails.
Terwiel.
