For my first post I would like to introduce myself to those who don't know me yet.
My name is Justin Terwiel, I am an athelete, coach, student, musician and entrepreneur. For biking I race senior elite in downhill, 4x and dual and I have coached downhill for the last 5 years. I am starting a coaching business for next season which I am super stoked about. I have been competing in an entrepreneurship competition at school using my coaching program, and have really been enjoying building every aspect of the business to do this. In the distant past I had segments in 3 movies, the last being Stripped. This is my first year riding for Cafe and I am really excited to approach the season with new drive, goals and resources to pursue success for myself, Cafe and the team. Lately with my crazy schedule I have been able to get out riding about twice a week if I'm lucky, so I cannot wait to get this semester finished and for my new bike and gear to arrive.
In school I am in my 3rd year of a BBA degree with a double major in accounting and marketing. School is interesting and inspirational but aslo absolutely hectic and completely ruling my life. I have averaged just over 3 hours sleep every this week with midterms and projects raining down and life is only going to speed up as I approach finals. I am also actively involved in a number of volunteer groups. I am VP of Membership Development at ACE*TRU, a business and entrepreneurship group on campus, and am an active member of Fusion Rotoract, TRU ECO and PCMA TRU.
Other passions of mine include playing guitar, rock climbing, dirtbiking, skiing and surfing.
Coming into the winter I am really getting stoked to get on skiis with all these movie premieres and winter friends coming out of the woodwork. I haved coached ski racing for the last 7 years, and am stoked to get it going again this season. I have been working a little bit with the program director to develop the club's program for this season, and am looking forwards to getting more into it I am through finals.
Anyways that's a little bit about who I am and what I'm doing. I am rediculously busy but always game to ride or anything else if the schedule permits, so drop me a line.
J
