Day 1
Longest day ever, but so far its been amazing and we have'nt even ridden our bikes yet! Eric Lawrenuk, Luke Fulton and I woke up at 9:15 this morning,packed Erics vehicle with all our stuff and headed to the Cove bike shop. We met up with Geoff Gulevich and Jordie Lunn at the shop, quickly last second tuned our bikes and said our goodbyes. Geoff, Eric and Jordie left earlier in Jordies vehicle while Luke and I stayed behind waitingfor Ross Measures to pick us up in the Blackbox van. He had to drive up to Whistler that morning to pick it up so Luke and I had some time to kill. We headed over to Marzocchi to hang out for a while. Its always a good time hanging out with Naz and Nick over there. They had an electric dirtbike in the lobbyso we decided to take er out for a spin. This thing is soo much fun! But at the same time she's a little dangerous. The day before I went over there and tried it out. I ended up sliding into a parked truck! Haha, all good though, it was hilarious. Ross then finnaly showed up at the Cove and we were on ourway. So what we thought we were. We had to go get an oil change, which took an hour. So we walked over to the mall, and goofed around for a while, and atesome ice cream. After we picked up the van we then picked up Danny Brody's bike and skim board because he's flying down. Then we Picked up Harookz at his place with all his camera gear including his bmx. After all of the shinanagins we finnaly got on our California bound trip by 5:00, originally our goal wasfor 2:00 but the system in this van is amazing so i could'nt be happier! We dropped Harookz off in Seattle with Phil and Andy Sanbaum. He is going to shoot with those guys for a few days then we are meeting him at Woodward. After that we went on with our long journey straight to California... We arrived! After driving all through out the night we landed on the Santa Monica shorline at 5:00, just in time for the epic sun set! We then drove over to L.A.X airport to pick up Danny Brody. It was his 22'nd birthday last night, congradulations bud. We then picked up Sorge and drove to Woodward for a well deserved sleep!
